Aglaonema 'Ivy Green'

Aglaonema 'Ivy Green' is a compact green Chinese evergreen with narrow leaves and pale lengthwise markings. The foliage rises from a small crown, creating an upright plant with a neat, vertical outline.

Its colour range stays within green and soft silver-green tones. Darker margins and lighter inner markings give the leaves gentle definition, creating a calm, detailed pattern in smaller indoor spaces.

Aglaonema 'Ivy Green' slender traits

  • Narrow green leaves with pale central markings
  • Compact upright habit suited to small and medium pots
  • Short-stemmed clumping growth from the base
  • Soft green colour range with a tidy foliage crown
  • Slow to moderate indoor growth in warm, stable conditions

Narrow foliage and compact growth

Aglaonema 'Ivy Green' is a cultivated Aglaonema grown for its slender foliage and green patterning. It develops from short stems and basal shoots, gradually producing a fuller crown as new leaves overlap around the centre.

Like many cultivated Aglaonema, it grows as a warm-room foliage plant. Its compact root system and narrow leaves fit indoor pots, shelves and plant stands when the substrate remains airy and the temperature stays stable.

Aglaonema 'Ivy Green' care needs

  • Light: Place in medium to bright filtered light. A position near an east or north-east facing window is usually suitable.
  • Watering: Water after the top 2–3 cm of substrate dry. Small pots can dry unevenly, so check both the surface and the deeper root ball.
  • Substrate: Use a fine, airy mix with coco coir, bark fines and perlite. Keep the lower stems in a mix that drains quickly after watering.
  • Pot choice: Keep it in a pot with drainage holes. A tight but healthy root ball is easier to manage than an oversized wet pot.
  • Temperature: Keep warm year-round, ideally 18–27 °C. Move it away from cold window glass in winter.
  • Humidity: Average room humidity is generally fine. In very dry rooms, grouped plants or a humidifier can reduce stuck or crisp new growth.
  • Feeding: Feed lightly during spring and summer every 4–6 weeks. Use a diluted foliage-plant fertiliser.
  • Repotting: Repot when roots fill the pot or the plant dries too quickly after watering. Spring and early summer give the easiest recovery.
  • Grooming: Remove yellowing older leaves at the base and wipe dust from the narrow blades with a damp cloth.
  • Propagation: Divide rooted side shoots during repotting once the plant has several active growth points.

Growth, stem and leaf checks

  • Weak, stretched new leaves: The plant may need brighter filtered light. Move it gradually and rotate the pot for even growth.
  • Soft lower stems: Check for wet substrate around the crown and inspect the roots. Repot into a more open mix if the base feels unstable.
  • Brown tips: Irregular moisture, fertiliser build-up or very dry air are common causes. Rinse the mix and steady the watering pattern.
  • Dull leaves with fine speckling: Check leaf undersides and petiole bases for spider mites, especially during indoor heating season.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
