The species name refers to the dark, velvety leaves, which can truly become gigantic and, in exceptional cases, reach lengths of 1.5 m (per leaf!). The overall habit is also very large; as a climber, it can grow 20 to 30 meters high. This makes this species significantly larger than, for example, Philodendron melanochrysum.
You will receive a young plant, approx. 20 to 30 cm long, on a wooden stick in a 9cm square pot.
