Product Description

Wide pleats. Navy contrast. A guayabera built for the front row of the wedding party. This long sleeve linen guayabera pairs broad vertical pleating across the front panels with dark contrast trim inside the collar stand, along the cuff edges, and around the pocket flaps. Cut from 100% premium linen for a polished drape in heat.

Why You'll Love It

  • Wide pleat front panels — Broader pleating than the traditional narrow alforzas, giving the shirt a sharper, more architectural front than a standard guayabera
  • Navy contrast trim — Dark print detail lines the inside of the collar, the turn of each cuff, and the pocket flap edges, adding depth without competing with the base color
  • Two pockets with buttoned flaps — A dressier modern take on the four-pocket tradition; pocket flaps with contrast-backed buttons read refined rather than workwear
  • 100% premium linen — Natural flax fiber that cools in tropical heat, wicks moisture, and softens with every wash
  • Dark navy buttons throughout — Contrast buttons on the placket, cuffs, and pocket flaps tie the whole palette together, a detail that sets this apart from solid-button guayaberas
  • Three statement colorways — White for ceremony, Aqua for resort daylight, Green for evening and rehearsal-dinner impact

Fabric & Construction

This shirt is cut from 100% linen, the long-fiber flax material that has defined warm-weather dress clothing from Havana to the Mediterranean. The linen used here is woven at a weight substantial enough to hold the wide pleats without collapsing, yet light enough to drape fluidly from the shoulder. Flax fibers are naturally hollow, creating air channels that pull heat away from the skin, which is why premium linen outperforms cotton and synthetic resort shirts in real tropical humidity. The fiber softens progressively with every wash, and the hand of this linen already leans toward the broken-in feel that makes the fabric comfortable from day one.

Construction is where this guayabera separates from the line. The front carries wide pleats rather than the narrow alforzas of traditional Cuban construction, delivering a sharper vertical architecture that reads modern and tailored. Two chest pockets are finished with buttoned flaps rather than open tops, a detail drawn from dress-shirt tailoring that signals the upscale end of the guayabera spectrum. Navy contrast fabric lines the inside of the spread collar stand, the inner cuff turn, and the pocket flap edges, revealing itself only in flashes of movement. Dark navy buttons appear on the front placket, both cuffs, and the pocket flaps, tying the contrast palette together across the garment. The long sleeves finish in buttoned cuffs, and the straight hem is cut to be worn untucked in authentic guayabera tradition.

How to Style It

  • Destination wedding ceremony: White colorway with ivory or stone linen trousers and leather loafers. The wide pleating reads dressier than a standard short sleeve guayabera, making this one of the most formal options in the men's guayabera collection for groom or groomsmen roles
  • Rehearsal dinner: Green colorway paired with tailored linen pants in cream or light stone. The navy contrast catches evening light and lifts the whole outfit. For full wedding-party coordination, see the wedding collection
  • Resort daytime: Aqua colorway with white linen trousers or light denim and leather sandals. The color works against ocean and pool backdrops without reading costumey
  • Rooftop or upscale dinner: Either colorway, sleeves down, slim dark trousers, clean monk straps or loafers. The navy buttons pull the palette into darker pants naturally, so you skip the matching problem

Fit & Care

Modern tailored fit with a cleaner line through the chest and torso than a classic relaxed guayabera. True to size for most builds. If you are between sizes or want more room across the shoulders, size up. If you prefer the closest modern silhouette, stay with your usual size.

  • Machine wash cold on delicate with like colors
  • Tumble dry low or hang dry for best linen feel
  • Steam or 5 minutes in the dryer with a damp towel lifts creases without ironing
  • Non-chlorine bleach only if ever needed
  • Wash dark contrast trim inside-out for the first few cycles to protect the navy

Ayoba-Yo Traditional Beef Biltong
Flavor Name: Traditional, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I have been lucky to visit South Africa a few times in my life. What is not lucky is coming home to the United States and craving biltong. Biltong is a magical, sugar-free, barely processed jerky and once you try it, you will never want to eat American beef jerky again. Biltong made in South Africa cannot be imported to the States, which is probably the saddest thing ever. I have searched for the perfect recreation of what I have eaten while road tripping through the Karoo, and I haven't found anything that can match it. Until I got this Ayoba-Yo Biltong delivered to my door yesterday. My search is over. Ayoba-Yo is a match to the biltong in my memories. The meat is sliced thin and perfect for snacking. It is fresh, doesn't contain any gross preservatives, and the flavors are the perfect traditional blend. Try this biltong and make the switch, you won't be disappointed!

Biltong, any brand, is healthier for you than “beef jerky”.
Flavor Name: Traditional, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Ayouba Biltong is soft and full of flavor without excess sugar, preservatives, and spices. Good quality: if you can get it on sale or with an Amazon subscription even better. Sometimes settling occurs and more small “shreds” of it than I’d like, but overall a great, good-tasting product. Per ounce? Hey no Biltong is “cheap”. This isn’t Jack’s Links, etc.

Sour moist meat
Flavor Name: Traditional, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I had a hankering for jerky and found biltong instead. I didn’t know what made it different, but I was willing to try. I was very surprised how moist it was!! It’s better than the jerky here. If I wanted to gnaw on leather then I’d get my belt instead of paying money for dried meat. I liked that it didn’t have sugar. However , the flavor was confusing. It was mostly sour, like too much vinegar. Other reviewers mentioned that too and I must agree. I’m not sure how it’s suppose to taste but this experience makes me hesitate buying any more.

Rancid, Nasty, biltong shavings
Flavor Name: Traditional, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1), Flavor Name: Traditional, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This Ayoba Biltong has an OK flavour, but the black pepper is excessive. About 20% of the shavings are rancid, which means that every 5 shaving pinch you put in your mouth is practically guaranteed to have a rancid flake. The rancid flakes are bitter. acrid and foul, and this nastiness completely overpowers the biltong flavour, even the excess black pepper taste. I believe the rancidness comes from the white bits of fat attached to the meat, but who wants to sort and clean these biltong bits? DO NOT BUY!!!! FYI - I grew up in Swaziland and Botswana, and ate pounds and pounds of biltong. I even made Biltong while deep in the Okavango Delta.
