This is a 1930s style evening gown or formal dress made of black Chantilly lace with metallic thread embellishments.  This 1930s style evening gown is constructed with the lace over a black satin taffeta-like base fabric with black satin ribbon wrapped around the hip area.  It has cap sleeves, a sheer bateau neckline, sweetheart shaped bust and a two tiered skirt that falls in drapes.  The bodice is supported with “stays” at the front and along the sides  It is cut low at the back, exposing most of the back down to the waist.  The lower back closes with a nylon zipper.  The ribbon at the hip is embellished with a black bugle beaded and sequinned floral appliqué.

Age: difficult to say, but whoever made this probably used an authentic 1930s pattern.  Some of the materials utilized are maybe period, such as the beaded floral decoration and the ribbon, but I’m unsure of the lace and the satin fabric used as a base - I believe that these are probably more recent, dating from the 1950s up to the 1980s.  The use of a nylon zipper also indicates post-1960 manufacture, so I would think that this dates maybe to the 1970s or 80s and was meant to represent a 1930s style evening gown.

Label: None, seamstress made

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this 1930s style evening gown should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders:  21” across, including the cap sleeves

Bust:  difficult to measure due to the open back, but about 35”-36” around

Waist:  30” around

Hips:  38” around

Length:  45 1/2”, measured flat

Condition: This 1930s style evening gown is in excellent condition with no noted defects.

This is a really beautiful 1930s style evening gown - 1930s style without the fragility of an original 1930s dress, this is skillfully constructed.  Dramatic back - sure to be noticed!

My Samoyed loved this!
Size: Medium
My dog’s favorite thing. This is his 4th toy and he loves it. The quality is great and it lasts very long. Definitely worth every penny you spend. It keeps my samoyed engaged every morning and every night. There is no choke hazard, so all dogs can use it

Long lasting
Size: Medium
My dogs love these and they last pretty long. I take them away when they get very small so I think they’re pretty safe.

Meant for bigger dogs than mine
Size: Small
I bought this for my 10 month old pup who’s a VERY aggressive chewer. I’m going to say this is made for a large, older (than mine) dog. She tried to chew a couple times but eventually just walked away from it when I offered it to her and she had only made a few scratches in it. If you have that bigger dog that’s an aggressive chewer, it would be a good value for your money and will keep the engagement high for a long time with its heavy duty quality.

Finally… a dog chew that doesn’t become a homemade prison shank
Size: Medium
My dog has a real talent: turning every “tough chew” into a sharp, weaponized shard that could star in an episode of Locked Up: Canine Edition. But THIS chew? Absolute game changer. For the first time ever, I can relax—no splinters, no pointy edges, no fear he’s secretly crafting a shiv under the couch. Just happy, safe chewing that actually lasts longer than five minutes. It’s durable, it’s safe, it keeps him busy, and I no longer feel like I’m living with a furry little inmate planning an escape. Highly recommend if your dog chews like he’s got nothing but time.

Would buy again
Size: Small
Would have given 5 stars, but my dog was able to chew this down pretty quickly, so not the most durable. I do like that this is made with better material than other dog chews, so I would buy again.
